The iAED-S2P is available in two configurations:
iAED-S2P2 (with cover) — a clamshell design where opening the cover starts the device automatically. Choose this for higher-visibility public installations where the cover doubles as tamper protection and a visual cue that something has been accessed.
iAED-S2P4 (no cover) — a slimmer, lighter open-face unit for cabinet-mounted installations where the AED cabinet itself already provides protection and the device just needs to be grabbed and powered on directly.
Both share the same 7-inch screen, IP55 rating, and 1.5-meter drop resistance — the choice comes down to your cabinet setup and installation preference, not performance.
Rather than a generic location list, here's the specific reasoning behind each deployment:
Schools and universities — a large, animated screen reduces panic for student and staff responders, and the wide temperature range supports outdoor athletic facilities as well as indoor hallways.
Corporate offices and government buildings — self-testing and remote status reporting suit facilities teams managing AED compliance across multiple floors or buildings from a central dashboard.
Shopping malls, airports, and other high-traffic public venues — the loud 80dB prompt and large screen are built for noisy, crowded environments where clarity matters more than portability.
Buses, trains, and transit stations — the -10°C to 55°C operating range and drop-tested housing are built to handle vehicle vibration and outdoor temperature swings that a standard indoor AED isn't rated for.
When paired with an AED cabinet and the AED Intelligent Management System, the iAED-S2P becomes a complete, centrally-monitored public access defibrillation program rather than a collection of standalone devices.
Q: Is the iAED-S2P suitable for outdoor or vehicle installation?
A: Yes. It's rated for -10°C to 55°C operation and IP55 dust/water resistance, wider than our standard indoor models, making it suitable for outdoor cabinets and transport vehicles.
Q: What's the difference between the iAED-S2P and the iAED-S2?
A: Both use the same biphasic technology, but the iAED-S2 is a portable, IoT-connected unit with a CPR compression sensor for handheld and professional use, while the iAED-S2P is a larger-screen, fixed-installation unit built for wall/cabinet mounting in high-traffic public spaces.
Q: Can the iAED-S2P be monitored remotely across multiple locations?
A: Yes. It performs automatic self-tests and uploads status data remotely, and integrates with our AED Intelligent Management System for centralized fleet monitoring.
Q: What certifications does the iAED-S2P have?
A: ISO13485, CE, and NMPA registration. Full documentation is available on our Download page.
Q: Can I get OEM branding on the iAED-S2P for a large deployment?
A: Yes. We offer casing, cabinet, and label customization for bulk public access programs — see our Customized Service page.
If you are planning to deploy a public access AED program or are looking for a rugged AED machine for workplaces and vehicles, iAED‑S2P will be an excellent choice.
