Another Successful Rescue in Italy: Jousing AED Marks Its Fourth Overseas Rescue Case
Recently, Jousing Medical received uplifting news from Italy. On June 7, 2025, a boy who suffered a sudden cardiac arrest was successfully rescued thanks to responders equipped with a Jousing AED and professional first aid skills. This marks the fourth overseas rescue case involving a Jousing AED in Italy, further demonstrating the reliability and effectiveness of emergency medical devices made in China.
According to the data retrieved from the AED used at the scene:
23:35:38 — AED powered on
23:35:41 — Electrodes applied and heart rhythm analysis started
23:35:48 — Shock advised
23:35:55 — Charging completed
23:35:56 — Shock delivered and CPR initiated
23:36:03 — Spontaneous circulation restored
Approximately two minutes later, the AED began a second heart rhythm analysis and indicated “No Shock Advised”. The ECG showed the return of spontaneous circulation.
The Jousing iAED-S1 used in this rescue is the first AED model in China to receive official registration certification. It features:

Sudden cardiac arrest is one of the deadliest silent killers worldwide, claiming approximately 3.7 million lives each year. This fatal condition strikes without warning, regardless of time, location, or age. Around 70% of cases occur at home, while public venues such as sports facilities, offices, schools, and commercial centers also face high risk. In these critical moments, rapid access to and proper use of an AED within the golden four minutes can make the difference between life and death.
In this recent rescue in Italy, the Jousing AED proved its value once again. •European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA): Since 2021, all European flights must be equipped with AEDs.
•UEFA (Union of European Football Associations): Mandates AEDs at all official match venues.
•Netherlands: Established a nationwide “Golden 6-Minute Rescue Network” system.
•Rome: Plans to install 350 AEDs for the 2025 Jubilee Year.
According to the European Society of Cardiology, cardiac arrest patients in AED-equipped gyms are more than nine times more likely to survive compared to those in facilities without AEDs. This finding has been validated in China as well—Jousing AEDs have saved 46 lives during sudden cardiac arrests in sports venues and athletic events.
Most recently, on October 24, 2024, a Jousing AED successfully rescued a patient at the Akram Khan Company and Fitness Center in Italy, once again demonstrating the critical role of AEDs in emergency response.
